Our Development Management & Enforcement team provides a number of vital services within the Borough and promotes a culture of positive planning across the Council to maximise the benefits for our residents and businesses.

We are looking to further strengthen our existing teams to maintain a high performing, high morale environment within the Planning Service.

A number of opportunities across the teams are available, all vital to the successful operation of the DM and Enforcement function.

We now have exciting Enforcement Officer opportunities within our Planning Enforcement team. The position is important and essential in maintaining and improving Hackney's reputation and excellent performance.

Your planning enforcement knowledge and can-do attitude is what we are looking for, with excellent negotiation, communication and time-management skills with experience that is relevant to the role.

You will also have the ability to manage conflicting priorities within a pressurised environment.


You must have a relevant qualification in Town Planning (or equivalent) which supports membership of, eligibility for the Royal Town Planning Institute, OR currently undertaking a qualification in Town Planning or equivalent leading to qualification, OR currently working in Planning Enforcement.
