Position Title: Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) Reports to: Charge MRT/Branch Manager
The Role: As a member of the Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) team, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and high-quality imaging services to patients, referrers, and funders. Your responsibilities include producing high-quality diagnostic images, delivering exceptional patient care, and upholding professional responsibilities in accordance with relevant legislation and codes of ethics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images adhering to safety protocols and published imaging protocols.
• Deliver patient care in line with patient rights and relevant legislation, seeking and gaining informed consent for all procedures.
• Maintain equipment in a safe and professional manner, complying with maintenance and quality assurance processes.
• Comply with Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (HPCA) and MRTB code of ethics.
• Maintain knowledge of current professional practice and developments.
• Ensure communication is professional at all times and integrate the values and philosophies of our organization into all systems, procedures, and services.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Medical Radiation Technology.
• Current radiography registration (APC) with NZ MRTB.
• Sound knowledge of Medical Radiation Technology techniques and practices.
• Excellence in delivering patient care and interpersonal skills.
• Continuous improvement focus and collaborative mindset to deliver better outcomes.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
