    Cost Accountant (A360)

    Location: Wolverhampton (i54)

    An exciting Opportunity has arisen for a Cost Accountant to join the business

    The Cost Accountant will play a crucial role in analysing and managing the financial aspects of the A360 business. Working with key stakeholders, they will be responsible for tracking, analysing and reporting on the costs associated with Access 360 operations. Through detailed cost information, they will play a key role in ensuring the Access 360 leadership make informed decisions around cost, efficiency and profitability.

    What will you be doing:

    • Provide product cost analysis supporting insights to support strategic decision-making, such as pricing decisions and profitability analysis.
    • Analysis of fixed and variable costs including raw materials, labour, and overheads to determine the total cost of manufacturing the products produced and the cost per unit of production driving the implementation of standard costing (introduction of BOM's etc.)
    • Assist with the development of budgets and forecasts by providing key insights into the cost trends and variances.
    • Work collaboratively within the Access 360 and wider UK&I business including Finance, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to gather data, share insights and where appropriate, implement cost-saving initiatives.
    • Work with key stakeholders in monitoring inventory levels; conducting inventory reconciliation and analysis of inventory valuation.
    • Analysing organisational data and assessing rates of labour, depreciation, and overheads to recommend policy amendments that will improve financial performance of Access 360 including changes to policies and procedures to improve the company's cash flow
    • Prepare timely and accurate reports for senior management across the division and support the wider Finance function with input into the monthly and year-end reporting cycle.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and Tyman Delegation of Authority and other internal controls related to cost accounting.

    What we are looking for:

    • Excellent knowledge of accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel and Power-point, experience in using NetSuite and OneStream would be an advantage
    • Excellent knowledge of cost and product cost accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
    • A strong inclination for and interest in system and process improvement. Must be capable of using own initiative to propose improvements
    • Analytical mind and excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong at stakeholder management within cross-functional teams.
