We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Site Supervisorto lead the electrical installation for a substantial student accommodation project in Coventry.


This exciting opportunity involves overseeing the electrical aspects of a large-scale development designed to house hundreds of students, enhancing their living, and learning experience.


As an Electrical Site Supervisor, you will join our dynamic construction team, working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate and execute complex electrical systems.

Your expertise will be pivotal in making strategic decisions that affect the project's overall success, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and environmental guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Electrical Project Manager daily
  • Overlooking and managing the electrical staff on the project through to handover
  • Coordinate site activities to ensure all safety aspects are managed and monitored in accordance with site/contract procedures and HSE requirements
  • Be responsible for the daytoday running of the work requirements and organising the various operatives and subcontractors to meet completion deadlines
  • Take ownership of the client's needs and pursue good communications with the customer to build and maintain a stable relationship
  • Act as the first point of PPG contact and be proactive regarding client changes and extra works
  • Daily checking site quality and performance
  • Making sure materials are stocked and reporting back
  • Maintain accurate records of works done for each project and report back to Project Manager as required
  • Cooperate with office support staff providing information as required
  • Health & Safety and Environmental compliance

Qualifications/Experienced required

  • Previous experience within an Electrical Site Manager or Supervisor role, on M&E projects worth up to £5M
  • Minimum of 5+ years in electrical industry
  • Experience with driving and managing subcontractors and ability to communicate effectively
  • NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds 2391/2394/5 (required)
  • 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Health & Safety (IOSH accreditation desirable)
  • Management of design phase
  • Experience delivering electrical projects to a variety of commercial sectors
  • Financial Management of project and working to budgets
  • Have strong client facing and communication skills
  • Speed and accuracy of work a priority
  • The ability to work within a diverse team
  • Proficient in MS Office, word and excel
  • A full driving licence
  • Permanent right to work in the UK, without Employer support
