This role will involve:


  • Joining a recently evolved team, supporting an area of the business where we are investing significantly
  • An opportunity to drive value in a key strategic growth area
  • An opportunity to develop and showcase partnering skills by building valuable relationships with various Tech stakeholders
  • Working with business stakeholders to appraise investment proposals; including business case formation and postimplementation review
  • Detailed review and forecasting of Techrelated costs (including complex, highvalue contracts), working closely with Management Accounts, business stakeholders and other members of the finance team
  • Identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies and cost risks, and proactive responses to deliver action
  • Offering visibility and clarity on all Tech costs

Essential Skills:


  • A strong capability in Excel
  • An ability to communicate finance terms and context to nonfinance colleagues in an effective manner
  • An ability to turn information into a concise output displayed in a compelling way; focussing attention and driving actions
  • The ability to manage stakeholders and deliver exceptional business value through strong customer focus
  • An enthusiastic, keen to learn and pro active approach, not afraid to challenge the status quo at all levels
  • Drive and determination to set priorities, meet deadlines and to see things through
  • A change mindset; looking for new ways to do things
  • An ability to build effective crossfunctional relationships across the business
  • An ability to respond quickly to feedback from all areas, and business requests
  • An understanding, or experience, of Tech/agile/digital terminology and ways of working would be useful
