Solution Architects provide the design and communication of high-level structures to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs.

Changes to service, process, organisation, operating model and other aspects may be required in addition to technology components, and solutions must demonstrate how agreed requirements (such as automation of business processes) are met, any requirements whichare not fully met or, and any options or considerations which require a business decision.

The main objective of this statement of work is the development of new and maintenance of existing software modules, the improvement of cloud installations including automation and DevOps activities.


SCOPE OF WORK
The Service will be delivered in Sprints, and each sprint will have the duration of two week.

  • The provision of comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to, solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices and that existing and planned solution componentsremain compatible.
  • Ensure appropriate standards (including industrial, international and NATO) are adhered.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical plans and services to ensure that appropriate technical resources are made available.
  • Provides advice on technical aspects of system development and integration (including supporting change management processes).

  • Implementation using selected products

QUALIFICATIONS
For the tasks under this task order, we require the contractors to have the following qualifications:

  • Experience working in the NATO Software Factory (NSF) or other industrial equivalent cloud implementations such as AWS or Azure.
  • A broad knowledge of many different types of IT systems and product offerings including both Java and Microsoft.
NET software development environments

  • Strong knowledge with various integration middleware platforms, database platforms and others:
  • Software Architecting
  • Agile software development in C/C++/C#, Java;
  • Test automation
  • Docker containers
  • Kubernetes / Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, WeaveScope, Ansible, Terraform, Junit or Nunit, Selenium, MS Visio
  • Infrastructure as code (IaaC). Ansible and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of modern software development methodologies (e.g. Software development life cycles, Agile methodologies), a certification in the field of agile software development is a plus.
  • General knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) and data management concepts,
  • The contractor is well experienced with XML, XSD and XPATH,
  • The contractor has significant experience in one of the following TOGAF, NAF or DODAF,
  • The contractor is familiar with including DNS, domains, PKI certificates, network designs;
  • The contractor has a flexible, cooperative and customer focused attitude; sets high standards for quality and quantity; monitors and maintains quality and productivity; works in a systematic, methodical and orderly way;
  • Speak and write fluent English since the work is conducted in English;
  • The nationality of one of the NATO nations.
