    Accounts Assistant | Permanent | Welshpool | Onsite | £23,000 - £26,000 (DOE)

    Are you an experienced ledger clerk looking for a new challenge?

    We are delighted to be working with a well-known company based in Welshpool who are looking to add strength to their finance department through recruiting an experienced ledger clerk. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operations of both the sales and purchase ledgers including debtor analysis and credit control and ensure that both functions run smoothly, accurately and to deadlines.

    What will you be doing?

    • Processing a high volume of sales & purchase invoices and credit notes and ensuring they are appropriately authorised, correctly coded and posted to Sage 50.
    • Regularly reviewing the disputes listing and resolving queries in a timely manner for both sales and purchase ledgers.
    • Regularly conducting supplier statement reconciliations.
    • Timely management of the credit control process in accordance with designated customer payment terms with strict adherence to company debtor KPI's.
    • Completing the weekly BACS payment run following management approval, ensuring that all suppliers are paid within agreed time frames
    • Management and balancing of petty cash where applicable.
    • Management and balancing of the company credit card expenditure where applicable.
    • Provide support by producing key reports and journals for month-end and year-end accounting.
    • Ad hoc analysis and reconciliation duties requested by the Financial Controller as required.
    About you
    • At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
    • A keen eye for detail and pride in accuracy of work.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Flexibility to take on any task as required by the FC.
