Head of Platform with strong commercial Kubernetes, GCP, Terraform & Elastic search skills alongside a solid understanding of SRE is sought by a SaaS business based near Birmingham.

With large scale investment in technical innovation this Head of Platform will play a key role in driving platform performance improvements whilst leading the day to day platform team operations

This role would suite a hands on, delivery focussed DevOps leader who looking to join a dynamic, high growth business always looking to drive innovation through technology.

This Head of Platform should have most of the following skills:

  • Strong experience leading Platform/ DevOps teams whilst remaining hands on
  • Solid SRE best practice & methodology understanding


  • Containerization experience

  • Kubernetes, Docker, AKS etc
  • Infrastructure as code understanding
  • Terraform, ARM Templates etc
  • Elastic Search experience
  • CI/CD knowledge
  • Solid cloud exposure ideally GCP
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
  • A background in software engineering would be advantageous
  • Experience working in a dynamic, SaaS business would be a real plus
