    About the role

    We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to undertake on-site external and internal condition surveys which will be used for future asset management and maintenance of our property portfolio throughout England. The stock condition data will be instrumental in ensuring our company remains fully compliant with legislation and regulations and enables our customers to benefit from the very best quality retirement accommodation.

    The Building Surveyor will report directly to the Property Manager and will be required to work closely with the Owners, Lodge Managers, Property Co-Ordinator and Area Managers.

    About you

    Our new Building Surveyor will be ideally educated to HNC or degree level in a related construction or property subject. You will ideally a hold, or be working towards a professional qualification such as RICS, CIOB or ABE. You will also be an existing CSCS card holder.

    We are seeking someone who has previous experience within the construction or property management industry with excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, Building Regulations and Fire Safety Compliance, experience of putting scopes of works & specifications together, creating tender packs, adjudicating tenders. We are also very keen on the customer-facing experience, as leaseholder / RTM engagement / Ops colleague engagement in-person will be frequent.

    The S20 knowledge is desirable but not essential, training will be provided.

    You will have strong communication skills and be comfortable communicating with contractors, customers and internal stakeholder.

    The successful person will be organised, have excellent IT skills and an eye for detail. You will take a proactive approach to your work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
