The Health Foundation is an independent charity of c.220 staff, committed to bringing about better health and health care for people in the UK.

The organisation is funded by a large endowment currently valued at c. £1.1billion.

Interest from this investmentallows independent spend of up to £45m a year on improving health and care in the UK through a variety of value add grant giving schemes and strategic industry partnerships.


The Role


The finance team has been restructured and expanded to reflect the changing needs of The Health Foundation - a new team for a new strategy.

As Management Accountant and Business Partner, you will work with a small team to implement an effective budgetarycontrol framework for the organisation and embed a quality finance business partner model.

Initially, the role will be responsible for a portfolio of overhead teams, supporting them by providing quality management reports and insights through the developmentof new forecasting models and systems.

You will work with the Head of FP&A to drive a culture of continuous improvement in order to support the organisation achieve its strategic aims.


  • Qualified accountant with sound academic background and logical career progression.
  • Prior experience of producing management reports, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Proven ability to implement change and improvements to budgeting, forecasting and KPI analysis.
  • A true business partner, with demonstrable ability to build quality working relationships with nonfinance stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in an independent and fluid SME organisation going through change.

What's on offer
