Description
We are looking to support the exciting growth within AXA Commercial in the Motor Trade Specialty Unit and have an opportunity for a Development Underwriter to join our successful team.
Join our team to enhance the current team with an engaging Development Underwriter role, shaping the narrative for AXA's growth.
We seek an ambitious individual to drive profitable growth through effective underwriting of new business cases. This role plays a key part in achieving profitable growth and increasing the trading capability.
At AXA, we empower our people to balance work between home and the office. The role involves regular travel in the Midlands area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Motor Trade team in forming and executing branch plans
- Represent AXA in presenting propositions for larger MM and MC risks
- Collaborate with Trading Underwriters on coverage and pricing
- Develop a pipeline of growth opportunities
- Underwrite new business and manage key broker relationships
- Coach and develop Underwriters to enhance technical skills
- Hold regular reviews with Branch Underwriting Manager
Requirements:
- Extensive Motor Trade underwriting experience
- Proven track record in underwriting Mid-Market and Mid-Corporate business
- Strong customer and broker relationship management skills
- Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- DIP Qualified or equivalent
- Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom
