- Ensure financial processes comply with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Generate, forecast, and analyze trends to aid in financial planning.
- Participate in monthly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analytical reviews.
- Conduct annual internal audits to identify and recommend improvements in internal controls.
- Ensure timely book closings and prepare monthly forecasts.
- Analyze reports and correct accounting discrepancies for informed decision making.
- Post-Secondary Degree in Accounting with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Excel financial forecast modeling is highly desirable.
- Thorough understanding of financial accounting and control processes.
- Experience in financial reporting and analysis in progressively complex roles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for financial evaluation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database tools.
