Applications are invited for the above post to provide comprehensive and proactive administrative support for department staff and activities undertaken in the School.

To provide a comprehensive, effective and efficient support service to Departments within the School of Social Sciences.

The post holder will report directly to the Senior Department Administrator and will be part of a busy team ensuring the efficient running of department areas and services.


As a member of the School's Professional Services team, the post holder will work with the team managers to develop and maintain a collegial working environment of continuous improvement to deliver team and School Objectives.

The role requires collaboration and liaison with Heads of Departments (HoD), Senior Department Administrator and the wider administrative School Resource team in addition to liaising and corresponding with a wide range of external colleagues and to work at any location within the University Estate, as required.


You will need administrative experience of working in a customer orientated environment,, excellent organisational, analytical and problem solving skills and be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

You will also have experience of providing information, advice and guidance to staff and other individuals.
