    Web Developer

    Time for a new challenge? I'm thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Web Developer based in Manchester. As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and evolving existing websites, alongside creating new compelling websites focused on customer attraction and conversion.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Continuously add, improve, and maintain company websites, including front-end and back-end development, design, technical SEO, functionality improvements, and more.
    • Ownership of all technical components of the website, including upkeep, analytics, speed, security, and new tools.
    • Design, develop, and maintain marketing websites.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging and effective digital content.
    • Ensure website functionality and perform regular updates.
    • Optimize website performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user experience.
    • Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues in a timely manner.
    • Manage website analytics and generate regular reports.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest web design trends and technologies.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and developers as needed.

    Knowledge Requirements:

    • Solid experience in WordPress development is essential.
    • High-level knowledge and experience of HTML, PHP, CSS (sass/less), and JavaScript.
    • UX - An interest in user experience.

    • Strong project management within technical sprints.
    • Understanding of responsive design & best practice.
    • Experience with multiple Content Management Systems.
    • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Driven and self-motivated to find and solve problems across the business.
    • Knowledge of SEO techniques and tools.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
    • Web design skills are an advantage.
    • The ability to translate designs into development on pages consistently.
