    Compliance Manager

    Are you passionate about regulatory compliance and risk management in the financial services industry? Do you possess strong leadership skills and the ability to provide expert guidance on regulatory matters? If so, my client is seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to join their Risk team and play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory standards are met while supporting business growth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage a small team of Compliance Business Partners, fostering their professional development and knowledge enhancement.
    • Provide expert advice and guidance to the business on technical regulatory issues, contributing to policy changes and analyzing the impact of regulatory changes.
    • Ensure the Society achieves the highest standards of conduct and data protection regulatory compliance across all business operations.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on conduct-related regulatory sourcebooks and provide horizon-scanning overviews of relevant prudential compliance matters.
    • Meet regulatory/legislative timescales and provide well-structured summaries of proposed regulatory changes to the business.
    • Participate in and lead Society projects and initiatives to improve processes and products offered to customers.
    • Produce management information and regulatory update reports for presentation at various levels of committees.

    Skills and Experience Required:

    • Minimum of retail banking/building society experience
    • Proven team leadership experience.
    • Regulatory/Compliance examinations essential, e.g., FPC, CeMap, AdvCeMap, CERGI.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
