    About the role

    We are looking to recruit a learning and basic skills support assistant (LABSSA) to join our ALN team on a fixed-term basis.

    The job will involve visiting Ceredigion primary and secondary schools to support staff to deliver high standards of effective intervention programmes.

    On a day to day basis you will:

  • visit schools to observe and/or deliver intervention sessions with pupils
  • monitor and provide feedback regarding the standards of intervention provision
  • provide advice and model appropriate strategies and resources to meet learners' needs appropriately in order to raise standards and ensure pupil progress
  • We are looking to recruit an individual who has:

  • experience in leading a range of Ceredigion interventions within schools
  • experience of working with pupils with additional learning needs
  • attended and received a certificate for attending the majority of the following training courses: Satpin / trandep interventionCyfri Ceredigion intervention Attended a range of the following training courses:Catch Up and/or Reading with understanding interventionPersonal Dictionaries interventionLego InterventionSensory Circuits intervention
  • interest in working towards the HLTA qualification where this is not already in place
  • In addition to the above, we require an individual with a degree of fluency in the Welsh language.
