An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Merton's newly formed Public Realm directorate as the Street Environment Manager, on a one-year fixed term basis.

The role will lead a team of officers to provide quality assurance and deliver practical solutions to ensure waste and street environment services are delivered to a high standard.

The role will require collaborative working with key stakeholders and partnership working with contractors to ensure best value is achieved.

You will ensure performance management frameworks and monitoring systems are adhered to and prepare reports and briefings on contract performance.

You will possess effective communication skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will also be involved in supporting the delivery of key front-line services through a period of transition, whilst we mobilise a new recycling and waste collections contract and bring the street cleansing service in-house
