THE TWO CONSULTANT PATHOLOGIST POSTS

1st
post:
an interest in breast pathology is sought. Contributions to lymphoreticular, endocrine pathology and/or cytopathology are desirable, and other interests will be considered.


2nd post:

a broad spectrum of specialist interests will be considered, with contributions to head & neck, lymphoreticular and/or endocrine pathology desirable.


OUR DEPARTMENT
The department is friendly and well resourced. We work well with, and are right next to genetics, perfect for molecular pathology pathways.

  • Collegiate team of 14 consultants and up to 9 specialist trainees, with daily consensus meetings
  • Significant trimming support: 1 advanced practitioner and 2 other BMSs
  • Up to date IT, voice recognition, roll out of digital pathology, dedicated IT management support
  • Consensual, flexible approach to rotas
  • Strong clinical lead support for ongoing training and CPD
  • Supportive modernizing leadership with development activity that includes digital pathology, ongoing BMS roleextension, trialling home working, and a dedicated molecular pathology service

If you have trained in the UK you should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register from date of interview.

Alternatively, you should possess a CESR/CESR (CP).
