Artis Procurement, Purchasing and Supply Chain are pleased to be supporting this award-winning organisation exclusively, in their search to recruit a Senior Merchandiser.

The objective of this role is to maximise commercial opportunities through the effectivemanagement of inventory, maximising sales and profits whilst minimising stock and costs.

You will also have a good depth of strategic experience to support and develop the wider team of Assistant Merchandisers and Junior Merchandiser.


Senior Merchandiser Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage intake flow into business to hit monthly forecasts, drive sales and minimise risks.
  • Work with the Junior Merchandisers to control inventory levels, allocations and replenishment to stores.
  • Maintain Weekly Stock Sales and Intake forecasts (WSSI).
  • Provide insight and ideas into the development required to support the business' growth plans.
  • Identify and produce seasonal markdown. Review and manage the process to ensure effective implementation in stores.
  • Provide weekly summary of KPIs within departments of responsibility relating to sales, stock, profit, and markdown versus budget.
  • Work alongside the buying team to plan and implement promotional activity.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure supply and availability are seamless as well as acting swiftly when changes to plans are required.
Senior Merchandiser Skills and Experience

  • Experience in retail merchandising preferably within multibrand environment
  • Be natural time conscious and KPI driven to attain deadlines
  • Adopts a flexible approach to work and adapts quickly and effectively to unexpected changes.
  • You'll have the experience to build and maintain reports needed to perform the role including WSSI and line forecast tools.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Experienced Excel Skills and ability to handle and analyse large data sets
  • Advanced planning and analytical skills, including computer skills
  • Confidence in suggesting calculated risks
  • Exceptionally organised, methodical and efficient.
  • Previous experience within Merchandising and Supply chain
