This role reports to the executive accountant.

It is a hands-on accounting role to support the production of the books and records of the legal entities in respect of the services activities and associated revenue, costs and balance sheet accounts.

Description

  • Assisting the Executive accountant in all aspects of consulting projects activities including but not limited to:
  • Set of projects in a timely manner
  • Posting of costs to projects via timesheets or invoices as appropriate
  • Revenue recognition on projects where applicable
  • Analysis of the monthly results to understand key hits/ misses and issues within the services
  • Billing of services projects in a timely manner to customers.
  • Closing projects as and when appropriate.
  • Work with the project managers and PMO to understand the projects as they move through their lifecycle
  • Monitor backlogs and bookings and aid the reporting of both numbers in the management accounts as appropriate.
  • Support the services team with any data requests they may have.
  • Where applicable, assist with the production of the reporting packs for the Western Region
  • Assist in the onboarding of the projects acquired from the EAM acquisition.
  • Reconcile the unbilled and Billings in excess accounts as they relate to services.
  • Assist with the forecasting process for services

Profile

  • This company are considering ambitious Assistant Accountants, Accounts Assistants and Purchase Ledgers for this role
  • AAT qualification would be beneficial
  • Wolud consider someone in the middle of their studies
  • Experience of Double Entries, balance sheets, reconcilitaions, cost categories, puchase orders would be beneficial
  • Positive, can do attitude, ambitious
  • Experience working in a finance function of a multinational company would be an advantage.
  • The ability to produce information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, a confident and concise communicator who has experience of dealing with both finance and nonfinance management.
  • Able to maintain strong working relations with staff and business partners that may be located outside of UK.
  • Experience of an international business environment preferably in a software, technology or projects business would be an advantage.
  • Selfmotivated individual that is looking for a role that will challenge and reward.

Job Offer
- £28,000 - £30,000
