    Your role and responsibilities

    As an FSP working in Coastal North Family Support Team you will be expected to use the Suffolk Signs of Safety approach whilst holding a caseload of approx. 20 children & young people (pro-rota) facilitating supervised contact, liaising with other professionals, acting as Lead Professional within the Early Help Assessment process, and delivering bespoke work alongside our social care teams.

    We are seeking a practitioner who will recognise and adhere to professional boundaries, promote equality, diversity, and inclusion and deliver child-focused practice. We require a practitioner who will be a team player and support colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.

  • completing a variety of assessments with families, developing plans, chairing meetings and delivering direct work to both parents/carers and children & young people
  • working within family homes, schools, in the community, and our office based in Leiston
  • you will be required to travel to a number of locations around Suffolk.

    The team

    Coastal North Family Support works with families within a geographical area that includes Woodbridge, Framingham, Leiston, and surrounding localities.

    We work closely with Ipswich and Lowestoft teams to deliver supervised contact.

    The team consists of Family Support Practitioners, Young Person Workers, Senior Family Support Practitioners, Practice Leads, and Practice Manager to deliver the Early Help Core offer to families.

    We are a friendly supportive team who work together to build on one another's strengths to promote best outcomes for Children & Young People. We share our friendly office with our social care and business support colleagues and celebrate one another's achievements. Regular case supervision and well-being supervision is delivered to all practitioners. You will have access to a wide variety of learning and development opportunities to support you in your role.
