- Policy Enforcement: Ensure compliance with key management policies and practices, including adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and HIPAA.
- Security Audits and Compliance: Participate in regular security audits to verify the effectiveness of key management practices and make recommendations for improvements. Assist with compliance efforts related to key management.
- Incident Response: Respond to security incidents involving cryptographic keys, including potential breaches or misuse, and participate in the investigation and remediation process.
- Access Control: Manage access to key management systems and cryptographic keys, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access based on their role and responsibilities.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for key management procedures, including key generation, distribution logs, and access controls.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Technology and the wider information security team to integrate key management practices into the organisation's overall security strategy.
