    P6 PLANNER - hybrid working from home, plus occasionally from offices in York, Derby and London- Salary – £45K – £55KWe are a friendly, high performing SME civil engineering company, mainly in the rail and power sectors, known for our great quality, delivery and honesty.

    Our main clients are Network Rail, TfL, and other Tier 1 contractors for whom we provide specialist services.

    The RoleYou will be planning a portfolio of projects with our Engineering and Construction teams, then producing and monitoring weekly and monthly site-specific works programmes.

    You'll primarily focus on project planning, with occasional involvement in head-office tender supportWhat does success look like?Our projects and programmes run on-time and within budget.


    How you will make an impact:
    Identifying and emphasising critical milestones to the Project Manager to maintain project timelines.

    Generating and overseeing weekly and monthly program cost and progress reports, collaborating with the Project Manager to ensure projects adhere to schedules.

    Implementing effective quality assurance measures for programs using the QRSA method.
    Ensuring the efficient execution of programs and projects.
    Upholding compliance with company health and safety policies, Principal Contractor's Licence (PCL), operational, quality, and environmental procedures.

    Guaranteeing all planned work aligns with the requirements of the Safe System of Work process and all associated Network Rail/Transport for London Standards.


    You will need:
    In depth knowledge and understanding of project planning software, particularly Primavera .Previous experience in the railway civil engineering environment.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of computer literacy.
    Detailed knowledge of the Safe System of Work Planning process.
    Working understanding of various NEC contract documents and specifications.

    HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering or equivalent career experience.
