    Mortgage Advisor

    Salary: Up to £35,000 + Commission

    Employment Type: Full-time, Office Based

    Location: Watford

    As a Mortgage Advisor, your primary responsibility is to handle new enquiries, originating from various channels, and match them with suitable lenders. This entails thorough underwriting of applications and meticulously packaging them for presentation to lending partners. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless processing of pipeline business, delivering efficient outcomes for borrowers. Additionally, nurturing existing broker and customer relationships to generate leads will be a key aspect of your role. You'll provide expert guidance on specialized property finance to intermediaries and clients alike.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Promptly input all details into CRM upon receiving new enquiries.
    • Conduct comprehensive fact-finding with direct customers, especially for regulated mortgage contracts where advice is provided.
    • Source appropriate solutions for new enquiries.
    • Follow up initial enquiries with calls to brokers/clients.
    • Review terms completed by admin and dispatch them with necessary compliance documentation.
    • Maintain updated notes on all cases and ensure organizational tidiness.
    • Advise compliance on documentation requirements for new brokers.
    • Assess and validate received Agreement in Principle (AIP) and Offers, verifying financial details and requirements.
    • Review submitted documents and application packs.
    • Evaluate valuations upon receipt and forward them to the lender.
    • Check case and completion updates for accuracy and communicate with clients/brokers accordingly.

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Excellent verbal communication skills with a positive phone demeanor.
    • Ability to discern the source of an introduction and appropriately direct different types of business.
    • Proficient understanding of relevant regulations and permissions related to various types of applications.
    • Strong knowledge of lenders and products within the mortgage market.
    • General office administration skills.
    • Effective time management to handle diary, deadlines, and achieve set targets.

    Knowledge & Qualifications:

    • Essential: GCSEs in Maths and English.
    • Required qualification: CeMAP for handling regulated mortgage contracts
