Noise and Nuisance Officer/Environmental Health Technician

90 p/h PAYEAn opportunity has arisen for a keen and enthusiastic Environmental Health Technician to join the Noise and Nuisance Team.

You will be expected to investigate noise complaints and report back to senior officers so that decisions can be made by senior officers regarding taking any formal action.

You will also investigate other complaints such as those relating to bonfires and light pollution.


Qualifications, skills and experience:
Full UK driving licence is essential.

Must have extensive knowledge and experience of responding to statutory nuisance complaints under Environmental Protection 1990 and dealing with construction sites under the Control of Pollution Act 1974.Previous experience in an Environmental Health/Enforcement/Noise and Nuisance role.

You must have excellent communication and customer care skillsAbility to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Ability to work well as part of a team as well as on your own initiative is essential. Well organised and able to work flexibly.
Good interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.
