    Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

    The purpose of the role is work on New Product Development / New Product Introduction.

    The NPI Engineer will be responsible for driving the ISC function through all development phases to meet planning, manufacturing, cost & process capability on these new developments.

    Key requirements

    • Ensure new products are deployed into manufacturing using repeatable process methods,
    • Ensuring all, tooling, test equipment, work instructions are implemented to enable on time delivery of products, while meeting producibility, quality and cost targets
    Ensure projects complete the necessary stages of the company Integrated Product Delivery System (IPDS) process which includes the main deliverables listed below:

    • Phase gate exit review with ISC Engineering leadership
    • Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments
    • Use standard NPD operating system to record all artefacts used to move forward along gated process
    • Unit production Cost – Meet the cost target for serial production
    • Implement process routings
    Skills and Requirements

    Ability to manage high workload and prioritise accordingly

    Technical expert for products manufactured & processes within their cell(s)

    Proven experience within the general application of engineering. This could be within mechanical/manufacturing

    Previous experience of participating, and actioning continuous improvement projects

    Experience of manufacturing new product deployment is highly desirable

    Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

    Strong understanding of engineering processes for design and test to be able to challenge design to achieve producibility targets
