    An international law firm is seeking a driven Leveraged Finance Associate to join their dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in structuring and executing leveraged finance transactions, including leveraged buyouts, recapitalisations, and syndicated loan facilities. With a focus on delivering strategic advice and innovative financing solutions, the Associate will work closely with senior team members to identify opportunities and drive successful outcomes for clients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in structuring and executing leveraged finance transactions, including leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and refinancings.
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence to assess credit risk and evaluate transaction opportunities.
    • Prepare credit proposals, pitch materials, and transaction documentation for client presentations and deal execution.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, investment banks, and credit rating agencies, to facilitate transaction execution.
    • Monitor market trends and track competitor activity to identify potential opportunities and risks for clients.
    • Provide ongoing support to clients throughout the transaction process, including addressing queries and managing documentation requirements.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships and participating in business development initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA qualification is advantageous.
    • Previous experience in leveraged finance, investment banking, or corporate finance, with a strong understanding of financial analysis and deal structuring.
    • Solid knowledge of leveraged finance products and markets, including syndicated loans, high-yield bonds, and mezzanine financing.
    • Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis, with advanced Excel skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams and external clients.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
    • Legal background or familiarity with legal documentation related to leveraged finance transactions is advantageous.
