    Job Description About our Senior PMO Analyst role

    Working as part of the Transformation Office, Senior Project Management Analysts play a vital role in monitoring the execution and success of projects & programmes.

    They bring their knowledge and experience of in-depth research and analysis to proactively identify issues and drive performance transparency of key strategic initiatives essential to Business success.

    With exceptional technical skills, Senior Project Management Analysts, can develop and use a variety of reporting tools and are adept at mastering emerging technology that can be leveraged to unlock increased value.

    These combined analysis and technical skills enable effective scaling of assurance and exploit opportunities to automate, reducing manual effort and introducing process simplification.

    Quality Assurance

    • Proactively assure delivery of projects and programmes to identify early warning indicators & remediation solutions
    • Lead comprehensive Portfolio Reviews with stakeholders at all levels of the Business
    • Use metrics & analysis to ensure quality standards are being met and drive course correction when required.
    • Perform Healthchecks, Deep & Dives as required, providing detailed feedback to project teams & stakeholders, track any remediation plans
    • Develop and maintain annual assurance plans, devising best practice strategies that deliver effective analysis in collaboration with the Head of Enterprise PMO
    • Liaise with audit teams and support the remediation of any key findings
    • Role model, coach, and mentor colleagues in PMO competencies Reporting & Data
    • Own and deliver the Reporting and Data Strategy for Enterprise PMO
    • Lead & deliver the quality improvement of reporting and data, regularly reviewing usage and collaborating with stakeholders to determine reporting purpose and how it might be enhanced over time to drive greater insights
    • Provide high quality reporting, transforming data from multiple data sources. Building multidimensional data models and implement DAX calculations for advanced analytics ad forecasting
    • Identify information gaps, areas of low-quality data and low reporting performance, then drive continuous improvements in collaboration with stakeholders so that data is accurate and reporting performance optimised
    • Lead continuous improvement projects leveraging existing and emerging technology to identify opportunities for efficiencies through automation, data capture and process improvements Engagement
    • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure we always have one version of the truth for projects and programmes
    • Lead groups of diverse stakeholders to common assurance and reporting goals, modifying style to interact effectively
    • Challenge in a fair unbiased manner at all levels of the organisation, provide advice and guidance to stakeholders as required Measuring success
    • Accurate analysis that contributes to a reduction in project/programme issues and supports the successful completion of projects to time, cost and scope
    • High adoption/usage stats for reports with key insight used in decision making by stakeholder groups. Improvements from data driven recommendations show measurable improvements
    • Reporting and data accuracy – reports contain quality up to date data without errors anomalies and inconsistencies
    • Reduction in waste and inefficiency in PMO processes with successful automation driving a move to more value-add tasks
    • Successful audit outcomes Skills and Experience:
    • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills to analyse project information & data, strong problem-solving skills
    • Experience with governance and assurance of both waterfall and agile initiatives
    • Meticulous attention to detail alongside the ability to assess findings in an unbiased manner and present them with the right level of detail for different audiences
    • Strong ability to lead and drive work to successful conclusion, collaborating with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the Business
    • Expert technical skills in Power BI, data modelling, report optimization, visualization, complex DAX, Power Query, M and Dataverse
    • Experienced in using workflows and automation tools with a keen interest in emerging technology Dig deeper about who we are:
