    Position: Program Management Office (PMO), Senior Manager

    The PMO Manager will support the Programme Manager to deliver the Programme's objectives, by helping develop and drive the programme plan, support with embedding programme governance and support creation of strategic reports to ensure stakeholders are kept informed.

    The role focuses on the following key areas:

  • Programme Governance – embed effective programme governance such as change control, RAID management, programme meetings, escalation. Governance must drive positive action and decision making, not obstruct delivery.
  • RAID management and identification – work with programme team and wider stakeholders to identify, track and proactively manage RAID item
  • Programme alignment and Dependency management – engagement and alignment with other programmes to deconflict programme activities and ensure dependencies are managed.
  • Programme Planning – Support the development and maintenance of the Programme plan and cost
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Engaging stakeholders from across the business to support with planning, driving actions, risk and issue mitigation, cost and dependency management.
  • The role works collaboratively across programme stakeholders to successfully deliver the required programme outcomes for Indirect Channel.

    Key functions of the Programme PMO, AVEVA Transformation Office:

  • Lead: Drive the Programme team and broader stakeholders to deliver programme deliverables and milestones in time and on budget
  • Engage: Engage stakeholders from across the business, to support or lead workshops and meetings, to ensure Programme stays on track and in budget
  • Monitor and Anticipate: Continually monitor and track RAID items to anticipate issues and drive resolution to programme objectives.
  • Accountable: To the Programme Director and Sponsor for the successful delivery of PMO outputs
  • Team: Contribute to a strong team focused on delivering programme objectives and outcomes
  • Governance & Reporting: Embed effective governance to ensure programme remains on schedule and budget, including developing reports for a wide range of stakeholders including SteerCos and Programme Board.
  • Change Control: Manage programme change control through tracking critical changes to scope and design, providing challenge and escalation where needed.

  • Support scope definition, develop and guide initiative scope and direction.
  • Work with Programme Team to help set strategy and program direction, provide content support, assess progress, and raise any strategic issues for consideration of sponsor and steering committee.
  • Ensure that business benefits are achieved through realisation tracking.
  • Comprehensive understanding and definition of objectives and targets of the project portfolio
  • Escalation and management of strategy, scope and performance issues with Sponsors and steering committee
  • Delivery of portfolio programs to time, budget, and quality criteria

  • Demonstrated execution against plan .
  • Availability, timeliness, currency, and accuracy of reports
  • Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a senior or large business orientated PMO/TMO management role, minimum 10+ years in Software, Cloud, Telecommunications, and/or Management Consultancy experience (Not IT platform delivery)
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a large team across a matrix organisation to successfully deliver project outcomes
  • Proven track record in the management and delivery of multiple large complex projects
  • Organisational change management experience
  • Familiarity with a broad range of program delivery tools and methodologies
  • Financial and commercial analysis skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong knowledge of people management and team building
  • Strong analytical & problem analysis and solving skills
  • Strong risk assessment and management skills

  • Desirable Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • PRINCE2 or equivalent Programme Management qualification(s)
  • Technical awareness of Software/Cloud technology, IP Awareness, Information Technology
  • Good understanding of leading program, process and change methodologies (e.g. PMI qualifications, Prosci ADKAR, DMAIC, Lean/Six Sigma, etc)
  • Experience in communicating and influencing at executive and program levels
