    Description
    STS Aviation Services is looking to recruit a Lead B2 Aircraft Engineer at our Manchester hangar. The Lead B2 Aircraft Engineer derive their authority from and report directly to the appropriate Hangar Manager. This is an exciting time to join STS Aviation Services.
    To provide a central point of control and allocations for the Avionic staff in the facility
    Utilisation of resources to achieve schedule departure of all aircraft
    Co-ordination of all avionics staff within the base, drawing up a daily work plan to deliver the aircraft input on time
    Allocation of tasks and responsibility within the facility
    Monitor performance against plan, provide regular briefings, guidance and support to allocated staff as necessary
    Provide updates to Check Managers on any issues impacting their work plan to targets, proposed solutions, next steps within their plan and future work allocation Accountable for the conduct and time keeping of all allocated staff whilst employed within the facility
    Assist the Check Managers with individual development including carrying out formal appraisals and advising on suitability for further training or development Responsible for continued H&S 'duty of care' of their team, ensuring all current procedures are followed
    Assist with quality audit and support the implementation of robust closure plans
    Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent in an aviation engineering or similar mechanical engineering field

    Preparedness to undertake additional responsibilities in the Check Managers absence, or as requested take on additional activities and projects outside of normal scope.

    Preparedness for covering Shift Lead / C Certifying responsibilities; Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and be flexible to meet changing working requirements
    Full UK Driving licence Essential
    Knowledge of MS Office applications
