    We are looking for a strong leader who can operate a very busy village gastro pub from top to bottom. This Gastro/ high quality fresh food village pub seeks a general manager who has endless drive.

    This site is busy busy busy So the successful candidate must be prepared to hit big hours for big rewards.

    We are Looking for a dynamic person with a proven record of success who has a strong CV full of longevity and credible roles.

    A strong team leader, an organised individual who will lead from the front.

    A Mentor and trainer with a strong knowledge of all aspects of the business including the kitchen, bar and restaurant A strong knowledge of the cellar, cocktails, world beers and of course wine.

    About You...

    • Work with confidence as the 'Manager' bring ideas and innovation to the role.
    • Previous General Management experience, ideally gained in a gastro/ high quality fresh food environment.
    • Excellent operational skills as well as a solid base of back office management.
    • Full financial understanding, and be able to react to the ever-changing needs of the business.
    • The ability to lead from the front and develop & train the team where required.
    • A result driven and ambitious individual excited at the opportunity to grow the business.
    • A passion for the industry and the challenges that come with it.
    • Energy and motivation to successfully lead and inspire your team.

    Personal Specification

    • Customer service is key – putting the customer first is second nature to you.
    • Natural flare to develop relationships, whether that be with customers, suppliers or your team.
    • You will thrive being in a customer faced role.
    • Excellent time management setting examples to junior staff daily
    • Hands on approach – ensuring a smooth running of the business.
    • Passionate about the business you are running.
    • Care about finding, growing and engaging your team.
    • Be accountable for running all aspects of your pub.
    • Self-motivated and well presented.

    Previous experience as a F&B Manager, Operation Manager or Deputy General Manager, working within a 4 star venue is preferred. With excellent communication skills and a track record of managing a successful property in the industry. You must be energetic and vibrant, as General Manager as you will be the face of the business, with a natural flair for hospitality and the ability to motivate and lead a team through your passion, standards and commitment.
