Position Overview:

As a Senior General Foreperson, you will be at the forefront of our operations on the A303 Highways Project.

Working closely with the project management team, you will oversee day-to-day activities, manage resources, and ensure that work progresses smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to project plans and schedules.
Provide handson leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
Monitor work progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate progress, address issues, and make recommendations for improvement.
Take ownership of site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment utilization, and site access, to support seamless project execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, with a focus on highways, earthworks or civil engineering projects.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their full potential.
Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency in managing construction equipment and resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction management, site supervision, or a related field are advantageous.
