    Background of the Company

We are a dedicated team are a market driver in renewable energy bringing a wide range of skills and expertise.

    • Sourcing disruptive technologies in the energy sector.
    • Developing renewable energy infrastructure projects and managing assets.
    • Designing and managing strategic deals in a challenging policy environment.
    • Forming strategic partnerships and working with multiple public and private sector stakeholders in the development of large complex projects.

    Explanation of the Role

    Our technical department consists of the Construction, Asset Management, and Commercial teams. Each team has a distinct responsibility in managing the portfolio of Battery Energy Storage Assets, from pre-construction to operation. The department manages 1.17 GW of capacity, split across over 30 sites, in 4 countries.

    The role will require graduates to work across the technical department, working simultaneously with the three teams. Graduates will take on a multitude of responsibilities with each team, on active projects, eventually leading on discreet tasks. Graduates who prove successful through their internship will be invited to choose a specific team to join as an Analyst in the Gore Street technical department.

    Responsibilities across each team may include:

    • Construction team: co-ordinating with contractors for active construction sites alongside experienced Project Managers, working with internal and external resources to discharge pre-construction obligations, monitoring and reporting on the progress of active projects.
    • Asset Management team: managing interfaces between key stakeholders monetising the system, co-ordinating contractors and managing active assets, analysing and reporting on asset performance.
    • Commercial Team: interacting with partners in charge of monetising active assets, developing revenue performance analysis tools, carrying out market and policy research, reporting on portfolio revenue.

    Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree level education in engineering, or equivalent technical experience is expected (Master's degree desirable).
    • Basic understanding of electrical engineering, renewable energy, or energy markets is desired.
    • Prior Professional Experience is desired.
    • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite is required.

    In addition, we expect candidates to demonstrate the following:

    • Attention to detail and discipline with deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and lead team projects.
    • Flexibility in working across multiple teams.
    • Self-motivated and pride in work delivered.
    • Ability to work in the office (West London) multiple days a week.

    Candidates will not be expected to have prior knowledge of Battery Energy Storage assets upon joining.
