    We are looking to hire an Engineer to join our global team in Technology.

    This is a challenging, fast-paced and exciting environment, with plenty of opportunities to influence and grow the technology area.

    We are looking for an Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team to proactively ensure the stability, resilience and scale of our core on-prem and cloud infrastructure

    The Engineer will play a pivotal role alongside all areas of technology to ensure that technical solutions are aligned across teams, deliver value to the customers as well as ensuring consistent monitoring, logging and alerting.

    What you'll be getting up to:

    • Take ownership and pride in the work you deliver, ensure what is delivered is of quality and takes into account security, capacity and performance
    • Continuously iterate and improve on existing technologies whilst keeping up-to-date with the latest trends to keep us ahead of the game
    • Foster a culture of open exchange of ideas, innovation and continuous improvements
    • Balance the commercial needs of the business against the ideal technical design, proposing sound phased or tactical implementations where appropriate
    • Improve the team skill set by increasing and sharing knowledge thus setting the benchmark of quality and precision engineering
    • Understand the importance of and be a strong advocate for non-functionals eg. monitoring, alerting, logging etc

    List of skills we think you'll need:

    • Ability to deep dive into problems to find the underlying issues

    • Leads on live production issues

    • Attention to detail, Dig into understanding what is actually needed rather than what may be requested

    • Proficient in agile practices

    • Advocating and practising continuous improvement and handling challenging situations

    • Dealing with changes on a daily basis

    • Ability to demonstrate the value of changes introduced

    • Proven communication and collaborative skills while working with 3rd parties

    Technical Skills:

    • OS Administration - Linux - RHEL and debian based flavours
    • Web servers - apache, nginx,
    • Databases - mysql, mariadb-galera cluster , proxysql cluster
    • Caching - redis , mem-cached, varnish
    • Traffic Management - Haproxy,keepalived, Cloud load balancing etc..
    • Scripting - bash , python
    • CI/CD - gitlab-ci, jenkins, ansible, terraform , Helm, Fluxcd, Hashicorp toolkit
    • Virtualisation and Orchestration - vmware, docker, kubernetes
    • Cloud - Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud
    • Monitoring and Observability - ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos

    List of skills we'd love you to have:

    • Windows, IIS, Drupal

    • CDNs - CDNetworks, Akamai, Incapsula, etc..

    • APIs - REST, JSON, SOAP, etc..

    • Testing - Terratest, ansible molecule

    • Security - OKTA, vouch proxy
