    What does the Lead Project Engineer role look like?

    The Lead Project Engineer reports to the Team Lead. They lead the Asset design and water treatment projects.
    Interested in how things work, you will have a natural curiosity that will prompt you to explore where we could be working smarter. You will have a service-in-mind design approach, and will focus on speed, quality and budget. This will help your projects to see your output in cost savings, smart solutions, quality and on-time delivery.

    You will be based in the Peterborough office, where your time will be spent across the office environment, in the on-site plant area, and on the shop floor. There may be occasional site visits to customers or suppliers.

    What are the key duties?

  • Lead the design and execution of Bridge, Complex Mobile and BOO projects
  • Be responsible for design, execution, on-time delivery, and budget.
  • Lead the Water Treatment Asset designs and Factory Acceptance Tests
  • Manage the certifications process and standards - we use CE , CSA, UL and UKCA
  • Lead newly designed equipment and plants as and when needed.
  • Manage document developments, reviews, and approvals.
  • Manage customer deliverables and technical communications.
  • SAP business tool activities: create/ update-Material Master, Inventory, drawing and BOM
  • Source suppliers and parts
  • Work closely with regional leads to develop deals and successful executions
  • Be or become a subject matter expert for key services, asset designs and field support
  • Lead, coach, and train outsourced engineering, working closely with them to produce detailed designs and drawings.
  • Lead HAZOPs and Product Safety reviews.

    Qualifications

    What skills are we looking for?

  • A basic knowledge of water process, electrical, control/mechanical designs, material and equipment selection and sizing
  • Knowledge in PLC designs and Integrations (Preferable PLC- Allan Bradley and Siemens)
  • Experience in engineering design and design leadership
  • Experience in a product and services business - ideally within water treatment
  • Strong water process and project management skills with ability to drive projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and computer skills.
  • in an Engineering/science / Master or related technical experience
