Reed Legal is supporting a national client to recruit a Mental Health/Court of Protection Paralegal to join their busy team.


This firm hold a legal aid contract in Mental Health and have a strong reputation in the area representing clients detained under the Mental Health Act and in proceedings within the Court of Protection.


The position would suit enthusiastic applicants looking to assist in developing and growing an already thriving practice representing vulnerable members of society with a team committed to delivering high quality assistance and representation to all thosethat need it.

Legal experience with working knowledge of legal aid procedures will be an advantage but not essential as training will be given to the successful applicant


Duties and Attributes:

  • Interview clients.
  • Perusing and drafting documents.
  • Advising and completing documentation and progressing matters through various stages in preparation for hearing.
  • Travelling to see clients at various hospitals and locations in the Midlands area.
  • Attending Care homes and other places of residence of vulnerable adults
  • Must have use of own car and possess a full clean driving licence.
  • You will need to possess good time management skills and be dependable.
  • Strong spelling and grammar skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure, be able to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Drafting and Filing Documents with Court
  • Preparing Court Bundles
Salary in the range of £20-25k depending on experience plus benefits.
