Description
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity as Project Supervisor within our Facility Services team. Your role will be to support the delivery of various Projects throughout the UK. Working in partnership with a prestigious High Street financial servicescontract.This role is ideal for experienced mobile facilities maintenance engineers or building fabric operatives looking to take the next step in their career.
Project Supervisor Responsibilities:
Pre Construction Project supervisors work with the Project Manager to create a project plan and organise the resources needed to complete each phase of the project.
- Support the Project Manager in the preparation of Pre Construction information.
- Liaison with our supply chain to confirm the arrangements for the Construction Phase (Full time Site Supervision and First Aid) identifying gaps and resource requirements to support.
- Comment on proposed Methods for the delivery based on local knowledge of the Premises. In particular Welfare arrangements, Deliveries, and Storage.
- Gather local contacts (both internally, and 3rd parties) to prepare Communications List to be utilised on individual Projects.
- Support the Project Manager in the preparation of pricing projects, to ensure sufficient information populated into Contractor Proposal documents.
- Ensuring supply chain provide relevant detailed information in a timely fashion.
- Gathering relevant information from any site visit to support Proposals.
- Supporting the clarification process, should queries arise from Client QS team.
- Ensuring any Temporary Works (generally scaffolding) are completed in adherence with the required legal or technical standard/approved design.
- Liaising with Subcontract Supervisors/Foremen to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place and maintained throughout the Project Delivery.
- Ensuring any devolved Processes are being managed correctly by Subcontract Supervisors.
- Consult and engage with workers about their health, safety and welfare and deliver Tool Box Talks to all site operatives.
- Attend regular site meeting with Client and 3rd Party stakeholders (e.g. Local Authority), and actively take part in discussions.
- To ensure Health and Safety procedures and practices are maintained on all Projects and at all times ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the Company Procedures.
Practical Completion
- Supporting the Project Manager to ensure all relevant documentation is gather and issued to Administrators.
- Undertake final inspection to identify snagging, and to ensure site is left clean and tidy upon completion.
- Liaise with local client stakeholders to review works, and confirm no residual issues remain outstanding.
Project Supervisor Requirements:
Essential
- Experience of working on live Construction sites (within a live client location).
- Capable of working with minimum supervision
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Experienced at collating, producing and managing Construction Phase information
- Experience in subcontractor and people management
- Excellent communications and organisational skills
- Excellent decision making and problemsolving skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
- Hold a full driving license
- Be willing to travel and stay away from home, when required
- Hold a valid SSSTS Card or SMSTS Qualification
- Experience of interpreting drawings and specifications
- First Aid at Work
- Experience of Producing Construction Phase Plans
- Hold a valid CSCS Card
- Hold a Current First Aid Qualification
- Experience attending client meetings
- IPAF

- Scaffold Inspection
- IOSH Managing Safely
