Trainees will be given a fixed term contract over the training period, which is two years, and will divide their time between teaching and learning support duties. Applications from candidates who wish to be a part time trainee teacher (minimum of 4 days, 0.8 FTE) will also be considered.

The PGCE training course fees will be paid by the College. We can offer a welcoming and supportive environment in which to do your teacher training. Our recent Ofsted inspection noted:

The actual salary will depend on the proportion of time allocated to teaching but we envisage that, for a full-time role, it will be £25,750 approx. In addition to the salary, the College will cover associated costs of the two-year course with the relevant educational establishment.
