Are you an experienced TIG welder with a passion for aerospace and automotive engineering?

Verus Recruitment Partners are pleased to be supporting a South Yorkshire based leading international aerospace & automotive manufacturer, supporting the Recruitment of a TIG welding operative on a full-time basis due continued growth and projects.

As a self-motivated welder, you will be an experienced in the fabrication and assembly of components using manual TIG Welding Techniques alongside operating semi-automated Welding machines using specific techniques for aerospace products.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the Welding processes, working to
efficient standards in a safe and timely manner.


Duties:


  • You will be required to work on semiautomated welding equipment for both Circumferential and Longitudinal welds in addition to performing manual TIG welding for assembly and repairs.
  • You are required to work to Standard Operations Procedures (SOP's)
  • To have the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings
  • To carry out operations to NADCAP and AS9100 standards.
  • Use the correct tools and equipment for the operation or work, including relevant safety equipment and protective clothing provided.
  • To continually seek to improve existing working practices and exceed targets and standards set.
  • To behave in a way that is consistent with the organisation's competencies and the expectations for the role through:
  • Complying with organisational policies, procedures and working practices.
  • Complying with Company Health & Safety standards by developing a personal concern for the safety of themselves and others.
  • Carrying out any other duties as deemed appropriate for the role.

About You:

  • Proven track record in welding is essential ideally 5 years or more within Aerospace.
  • Experience with semiautomated Welding would be an advantage.
  • Experience inspecting welds would be an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of lean principles (5S)
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent team work ethic.
