    Job summary

    Stockport Health branch is currently recruiting a Unison Branch Administrator Successful candidates will bring their experience and skills in assisting the branch to develop systems and general administrative support, they will also support map membership density,

    The successful candidate will be an experienced team player, have good communication and time management skills, including the ability to organise your own workload and effectively manage your priorities. You will need to undertake a range of administrative duties to support our members and activists including often working to tight deadlines and being responsible for updating and maintaining accurate and confidential records.

    To undertake this role you must have good interpersonal and IT skills, excellent administrative and organisational skills and a good understanding and knowledge of the trade union movement.

    Main duties of the job

    1. To undertake the secretarial and administrative roles and office duties necessary to support the Branch Secretary and other elected Branch Officers and Stewards.

    2. To ensure an efficient, effective and confidential support service is provided to the Branch.

    3. To provide an administrative service for UNISON Members.

    Job responsibilities

    Job Summary:

    The post holder will be responsible for organising the Branch office , dealing with all correspondence and queries

    The post holder will demonstrate good organisational skills and have the ability to prioritise their own workload under pressure and use their own initiative and undertake additional work as required. They must also be able to provide a courteous and diplomatic point for enquiries.

    The post holder must be able to maintain a total level of confidentiality and be able to understand and act on complex information.
  • If successful this vacancy will require a Standard DBS check at a cost of £ This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
  • In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
