Job Overview.

We are looking for an experienced electrical supervisor to oversee our team of electricians.

In this role, you will be responsible for training and mentoring staff, creating work schedules, providing technical assistance, and troubleshooting system issues.

You may also be required to maintain and repair the electrical equipment used on-site.


To ensure success as an electrical supervisor, you should exhibit strong leadership skills and have sound knowledge of electrical systems.

Main Duties

Support the delivery and implementation of the contract to include all aspects of planned & reactive maintenance.

Provide effective leadership and expert technical & operational support to the Electrical on-site team.

Assist in the effective coordination and management of specialist sub-contractors.


To ensure that site systems statutory, planned preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance works are carried out in accordance with contract KPI's mitigating operational risk and financial associated penalties.


To ensure work is completed in line with the relevant legislation and best practice, and is delivered both efficiently and effectively.

Champion a 'Right First Time' ethos ensuring repeat faults are eliminated by effective investigation and root cause analysis.

To deputise for the Electrical Manager as necessary.


Day to day management of Electrical team including conduct, performance, attendance and capability; taking the necessary and appropriate actions to address any issues, with support and advice from the Electrical Manager /HR.

To inspire & motivate team members by empowerment and by encouraging effective decision making.

Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager

Prepare and conduct team briefings and toolbox talks.

Responsible for and to inspect general work for completion, quality, and compliance.

Set and measure daily/weekly output targets/KPIs for the electrical team

what we are looking for?

Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Trade.

C&G 2360 parts 2 & 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent. Essential

C&G th Edition. Essential

C&G 2391 Inspect and Test. Essential

Previous leadership experience in managing a medium sized electrical team.

Effective delegation and organisational skills are essential to the role.


Good communication skills, both in person and in writing, competent report writing, and presentation skills are essential to this role.

Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail and strong organisational skills, especially in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Excellent team with ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.

Knowledge of statutory maintenance and statutory inspections across health care sector is essential to the role.

strong ability to demonstrate effective management, development and have an ability to continually support a team.

Take a "hands on approach" to ensure a "correct fix first time" approach is undertaken by all engineers.

To be part of on call rota on site offering 24/7 support.


Expected to take up the post of Authorised Person in Low Voltage and High Voltage after a period of familiarisation of site electrical systems and external training.
