    The role

    This position entails spearheading the development and execution of Human Resources and Recruitment functions within the London office, offering specialized guidance to partners and managers on HR issues, with a keen emphasis on employee relations and ensuring HR compliance.

    Key duties

    • Offer proactive line management and supervision to the HR and Recruitment team, fostering an environment of support and guidance for optimal performance.
    • Seek out opportunities for continual improvement in the services offered by the HR and Recruitment team, aiming to enhance efficiency and effectiveness through innovative strategies and practices.
    • Oversee all employee relations matters for the London office, encompassing both informal and formal disciplinary actions, grievance procedures, and capability assessments, as well as performance management initiatives and improvement plans. This involves direct collaboration with partners and managers to ensure alignment and effective resolution.
    • Collaborate closely with the Chief Talent Officer and Chief Growth & Integration Officer to strategize and execute lateral associate recruitment initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fostering a seamless integration process.

    Key requirements

    • Extensive HR expertise within a law firm, professional services firm, or a large financial institution, demonstrating a deep understanding of the unique dynamics and requirements of these environments.
    • Significant relevant experience operating at a Senior HR Manager level or above.
    • Possess a robust understanding of English employment law coupled with hands-on experience in managing employee relations matters, showcasing adept decision-making skills and sound judgement in navigating complex situations.
