We have exclusively partnered with a market leading, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund. They are looking to add a newly created, senior hire, to their Commodities trading desk.
This hire will work directly with the PMs and quant team and help buildout internal system infrastructure, focusing on the pricing and valuation of commodities products.
You will be the go-to point of contact for industry leading portfolio managers looking to resolve pricing, position and risk related issues.
This is both a highly technical and commercial / street facing role (managing relationships with brokers).The hire can also expect to learn python, SQL and VBA to a strong standard on this role (albeit no prior experience is required).
Candidates should have strong experience in either trading / valuations / risk management / financial engineering roles. Candidates must have a strong background in commodities. A strong academic profile (maths/science/engineering preference) is required. We have a preference to look at candidates that have good programming skills (albeit it is not a prerequisite).
This is a highly visible and crucial hire for the firm and hence they have not set a salary band- instead they are committed to offering a 20%+ increase on current base and will pay a strong performer a 50-100% bonus.
