As a Trust we ensure that both your professional and academic needs, as well as you personal development and wellbeing are prioritised.

We achieve this through a structured supervision programme, access to both local and external training opportunities and regular team trainings.

This is an opportunity to strengthen and diversify the team, as such we are keen to interview individuals with an interest in specific areas of OT such as cognitive rehabilitation, upper limb rehabilitation and research.

As a band 6, you will have the opportunity to rotate across the Stroke and Neurology service, working on the acute and rehabilitation wards and with the community stroke service.

As part of this role you will be be required to utilise your core OT skills to complete assessments and deliver treatment plans to inform and develop individual rehabilitation goals for our cohort of patients.

You will use your knowledge and experience of rehabilitation to both deliver care for our patients and support the learning and development of more junior staff.

Alongside this, effective leadership skills will be required to direct others as needed and deputise for the band 7 OT lead in their absence.

Regular time for training and development -both internal and external - to meet your individual needs and support you to achieve your learning goals will be provided.

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT) is an integrated careorganisation with a budget of approximately 600 million and over 7,000 staff.

Diversity and social care is at the core of what we do as the Trust provides Community and Acute Services to over half a million people in an urban centre that demands massive regeneration and has substantial premature mortality.

Our new acute hospital, the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), opens in 2024 and will provide care to our local population from first class, purpose-built premises.
