Job Title;Assistant Planning Manager


Salary;£30,000 per annum


Shift;Monday to Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm, Friday 8:30am-3:15pm


Location;Rugby, Warwickshire


The Assistant Planning Manager Role;

  • Point of escalation for any stock availability issues to our central warehouse
  • Oversee the ordering of stock
  • Oversee maintenance of stock levels from departments and external suppliers to meet customer demand
  • Able to liaise with different departments with your fantastic communication skills and distribute reports as and when needed
  • Assist and support the Planning Manager with communications to the wider organisation and customers
  • Filter all calls and mails for actioning based on priority and distribute accordingly
  • Aid the Planning Manager and planning team to improve overall operational performance & customer satisfaction
  • Utilise all forms of communication platforms when communicating
  • Support and promote business improvements and drive efficiency with AN techniques
  • Assist the Planning Manager in assessing, updating and maintaining standard operating procedures and ensure adherence to them
  • Support the Planning Manager in designing and developing key focus for each area of responsibility
  • Prepare and develop management information regarding all activities within the Planning department as required
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers
  • Support Planning Manager with annual stock take
  • Provide information to the Sales team and Customer Services regarding stock availability
  • Expedite deliveries from 3rd party suppliers and internal orders
  • Participate in reviews of inventory holding and make recommendations for adjustments to safety stock levels
  • Several years' experience in a similar administrative/supervisory role
  • Broad operational experience of delivery within a fast paced, complex environment
  • Excellent knowledge of production, planning and organising skills with the ability to demonstrate successful plan delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer focused
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including collaboration, informing, influencing and negotiation
  • Strong knowledge of operational processes and systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP
  • Advanced IT knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
