Warehouse Operations Manager
Middleton
£35-£40k

Irlam Associates are proud to be representing the UK's largest wholesalers & distributers of drinks supplies to support in their search for an experienced Operations Manager, to join their team at their site in Middleton, where you would be responsible formanaging day to day operations within a busy fulfilment site, driving efficiencies and devising and implementing a strategic approach where the customer always comes first.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first class customer service
  • Ensure required distribution and warehouse procedures and processes are in place and adhered to
  • Control of Distribution costs & deliver within budget
  • Ensuring we are legally compliant on all O' licence compliance requirements
  • Work with all teams to implement improvements across all departments and people & culture
  • To develop and implement new SOP's and ensure an air of continuous improvement across all distribution activities
  • Motivate all staff to ensure objectives are achieved
  • To ensure that the KPI results are to agreed targets
and/or plans are in place to achieve set targets

  • Stock Management mínimal shrinkage
  • Route Planning to be efficient
  • Recruit, train & develop staff
  • Set & manage objectives for staff
  • Maintain Health & Safety procedures
  • To review and control all personnel issues i.e., recruitment, training, setting and achievement of targets, staff disciplinary, maintenance of personnel files, staff contracts of employment, staff assessment etc

Key Skills:

  • Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business Management
  • Experience with other warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, order management systems and/or Enterprise Application Integration tools desired
  • Excellent communication, motivational and leadership skills
  • Flexible in your approach
  • Use of Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets and records
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
