    Job Description Senior Test Engineer - EV - Norfolk

    One of my key clients working in the EV sector based in Norfolk is recruiting for a Senior Test Engineer.

    The Senior Test Engineer is an integral member of the Test and Simulation team, responsible for delivering testing systems for verifying and validation tasks.

    The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for dynamometer verification testing of electrical drive systems under the direction of the Lead Test and Simulation Engineer.

    They will focus on the testing and verification of electric motor components, including test rig and fixture design changes, NI code verification and all relevant tasks associated with operation of the dyno machine.

    The Senior Test Engineer will support the Lead Test and Simulation Engineer VP Engineering and Chief Technical Officer.

    Senior Test Engineer
    Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, 37 hours per week
    Experience in an engineering development environment, preferably sectors where testing of electro-mechanical machines is prominent (such as Automotive)
    Proven experience in writing technical reports in accordance with verification and validation procedures.
    Excellent understanding of basic electronics principles including measurement principles (isolated vs differential measurement methodology, bridge, 4-wire)
    Knowledge of data acquisition (sensor/transducer, signal conditioning, signal processing. A too D, data logging/transmission)
    Familiarity with PXI Data Acquisition chassis, specifically NI PXIe chassis & cards.
    Good understanding of Visual programming, NI LabVIEW, critically understanding measurement synchronisation (simultaneous sampling), data processing, multi threaded processes. Benefit understanding of additional languages and use of API/sdks (e.g., c++, c#)
    Experience using Mathematical processing software, i.e., MATLAB for data analysis, processing, and presentation of results.
    Understanding of Nyquist, sampling rate, bandwidth, anti-aliasing, phase shift & frequency response
    Ownership, management, and planning of Dyno test facilities and schedules.
    Contribute to project plans to maintain schedules and compliance.
    Produce technical reports evaluating product performance and statistical data.
    Process and evaluate test data for validity.
