    Description

    As a Business Analyst, Commercial, you will be responsible for supporting all business intelligence functions across the Commercial department, including Sales, Revenue Management, Distribution, and Reservations on a global scale. This includes both Corporate and Product areas. In this role, you will leverage key tools such as Business Intelligence Platforms and Excel to create valuable reports that drive company performance and efficiency.

    Primary responsibilities include:

    • Support the Director of Insight & Intelligence in conducting analyses related to commercial areas.
    • Evaluate existing reporting processes and redesign them where necessary to enhance performance across Global Sales Teams and Products.
    • Create essential dashboards to aid in achieving sales targets.
    • Collaborate with the VP Sales to design and distribute key sales tools and dashboards.
    • Collaborate with the VP Revenue Management to develop and distribute critical revenue/booking pace dashboards at various levels of detail, including segment and room type.
    • Assist the marketing team with a focus on B2B activities.
    • Become proficient in the Business Intelligence platform to automate standard and essential reports throughout the Commercial function.
    • Perform in-depth analysis to support crucial decision-making in Sales, Revenue Management, and Reservations.
    • Manage and take ownership of assigned projects related to commercial initiatives, including planning, research, and implementation to ensure successful outcomes.
    • Extract, manipulate, and analyse data to derive insights and provide actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels, including the senior management team.
    • Collaborate on developing Reservation KPI Dashboards for tracking performance metrics such as Abandoned Call Rates and Conversion.
    • Utilize machine learning and AI to enhance the decision-making process across the organization.

    Requirements

    What you Bring:

    • Experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
    • Strong organisational and project management skills.
    • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality or travel industry.
    • Proficient in analytics with a methodical approach to data analysis and reporting.
    • Familiarity with optimization and forecasting algorithms is a plus.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic commercial environment.
    • Experience with data visualisation tools, especially Tableau or Power BI.
    • Proficiency in GCP (Google Cloud Platform), especially BigQuery, is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders from various departments and organizational levels is highly desirable.
    • Proactive approach and ability to take ownership of projects and initiatives.
    • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision.
    • Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines within a dynamic environment.
    • Genuine interest in hospitality and the travel industry.

    • the role is generally able to benefit from our current hybrid working policy where team members are expected to attend the office on their Team Day plus two additional days (i.e. 3 days per week in the office and 2 days remotely).
