Bumi Armada UK Limited (BAUK) currently have a permanent staff opportunity for an Mechanical Technican to join the Armada Kraken FPSO team on a 3:4:3:5 rotational pattern. Responsible for carrying out maintenance of the installation's Instrument & Control systems and associated equipment with minimal environmental impact in accordance with regulation & legislation. The successful candidate will have relevant offshore experience, and will:

• Be familiar with the FPSO's plant and machinery, their safe operation and maintenance and will ensure that they have knowledge of safety requirements, including work permit systems, operational and emergency procedures, Company policy and instructions
• Implement planned and corrective maintenance on all mechanical equipment offshore, in a safe and competent manner, to safeguard the availability and operating condition so that maximum compliance and production targets can be achieved
• Implement statutory working practices and Health, Safety and Environmental Procedures and the Permit to Work System
• Clear reporting of deficiencies and malfunctions to the Lead Mechanical Technician, discuss and analyse technical and spares issues with the Materials Coordinator and propose solutions related to eventual bottlenecks, deficiencies, non-conformities to Maintenance Supervisor
• Maintain an accurate history in the CMMS System of work undertaken
• Provide Mechanical technical support to the facility and assistance to the maintenance department
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all mechanical equipment, ensuring any repairs are addressed promptly
• Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner and carry out and apply effective fault finding and investigation techniques
• Provide guidance to other crew members in matters pertaining to the safe operating of Mechanical equipment on the facility
• Support contractor's activities ensuring all work carried out meets statutory requirements and is in accordance with the Company HSE Policy
• Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change
• Participate in Bumi Armada Competency Management System
• Perform any other reasonable tasks as required to support operations commensurate with training, experience and ability
