    Our clients' Insurance Litigation team sits within the the broader Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice.

    The Team

    The team serves as reliable consultants to major corporations globally, offering expertise in intricate transactions, disputes, financing, regulatory, compliance, and commercial issues.

    Furthermore, the team possesses expertise in almost every sector of international business, spanning various legal systems, including both common and civil law jurisdictions. Working with the team means the successful candidate will deal with a variety of high profile matters, acquire a wide range of experience, and access to professional development opportunities.

    The Role

    The successful candidate will represent policyholders in contested insurance claims, guiding them through every phase of the process until resolution—whether through court or arbitral proceedings, or consensually via mediation or negotiation.

    Key areas of work (but not limited to):

    • Will be representing insurance policyholders on insurance coverage disputes. Particular areas of focus include business interruption, construction, credit political risk and directors' and officers' insurance.
    • Will also assist insureds with notifications to insurers, analysing coverage and presenting claims.
    • Will regularly advise banks and corporates on the use of insurance in complex transactions.
    • Will provide assistance where insurance issues arise in major transactions, for example advising on the existence of cover for risks identified in M&A transactions.
    • Will conduct policy reviews to summarise and advise on the scope and adequacy of insurance and potential amendment.

    Key Requirements

    The successful candidate will have 3 - 5 PQE with proven technical experience on Insurance disputes for policy holders . You will be currently practising in a prestigious law firm. Our client will consider Commercial Litigation lawyers with significant exposure to insurance litigation.

    They will also ideally have:

    • First-class legal ability and an outstanding academic track record.
    • Developed exceptional written and oral communication skills advising clients.
    • Strong technical skills and be comfortable researching and applying complex areas of law.
    • Excellent drafting and communication skills (written and verbal).
